The Offspring first formed in 1984 by Dexter Holland and Greg.K who was then aged 18 years after they refused to enter the Social Distortion concert. The Offspring is a punk band from Orange County, southern California. The Offpsring member Bryan Keith Dexter Holland, Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman, Greg Kriesel, or better known as Greg.K and Atom Willard. The band plays music influenced by ska punk, grunge to the sound of Seattle and even metal.
The band has been making history in the world of underground music when it launched the album Smash which sold 8 million copies thanks to the hit-hits like "Come Out and Play," "Self Esteem," and "Gotta Get Away,". Initially, the band called Manic Subsidal. A band with a garage band format is quite popular at that time. Noodles are aged 21 years and then joined and initially only used by Dexter and Greg as they were both still minors to buy cigarettes and beer. Not long after, Marcus Parrish, a school friend Ron Welty, who later became the drummer for the band-join.
Still with the band Manic Subsidal name, the band released the EP in 1984 in a compilation titled Party Animal: We Got Power II with his song, "Hopeless", under the banner of Mystic Records. This is where the first and last time the band recorded the song with the name of the band Manic Subsidal. In the midst of this EP workmanship, Marcus Parrish resigned.
In 1987, the band Manic Subsidal renamed The Offspring. With a new name, The Offspring released a single titled "I'll Be Waiting" with the label Black Lable. Black Lable is actually a joke (as indeed there never was) made by The Offspring because they are very hard pressed to find a label to produce their work.
So they named the label they made themselves from the usual cheap beer brands they buy, looking for a major label. Formation of this band's current single release is Dexter Holland (vocals and rhythm), Noodles (lead guitar), Greg.K (bass) and James Lilja (drummer). James Lilja only survive in this band in a short amount of time, his position was soon replaced by Ron Welty, who was aged 16 years and became the youngest band member.
