After an absence of nearly four years, in which several band members worked on independent projects, Bon Jovi regrouped in 1999 to begin work on their next studio album. In June 2000, Crush was released as the band's seventh studio album. Bon Jovi played stadiums in Japan and Europe during the summer of 2000, including two sold-out concerts at London's historic Wembley Stadium, the last concert ever held in the legendary prior to demolition.
